Lead Pastor
From the time that I turned to follow Jesus in my twenties I was passionately involved in ministry as a lay leader. To be a pastor was my dream job that came true when God led me into vocational ministry as a second career. Life has been a wild ride ever since. God has led me to serve three great churches (in Indiana, North Dakota, and South Dakota), plant one church campus in Tioga ND, plant a church in Bismarck ND, and has now led my wife and I back to my home state of Indiana. We couldn’t be happier to be here. It is our heart’s desire to see lost people found, and found people growing in the way, truth, and life of Jesus.
I have been married for over 30 years to my favorite person, Mary, and father to two amazing adult children, Noah and Samantha. I am a lifelong learner with a degree in Biblical Studies from Indiana Wesleyan University and am currently pursuing a MA in Ministry from Wesley Seminary. I am a long-suffering fan of the Indianapolis Colts, a hopeful fan of the Pacers, I enjoy painting, woodworking, vintage toys, and a good hike in nature.
Kayla has great passion for children and their love for Christ in a fun and safe environment. She has many years of experience in child development and roughly 14 years involvement at Hartford City Wesleyan, most of those years assisting in Children’s Church. Kayla and her husband, TJ, met in youth group and later got married at Hartford City Wesleyan. They have two beautiful children, which keep them busy with sports and other activities. Aside from being a mom, Kayla also enjoys crafting, reading, mowing (yes, I'm crazy), and camping with family.
Emily Love has been leading worship for over 30 years, currently serving as the Worship Leader at Hartford City Wesleyan Church. She grew up in a faith-filled home and has a deep passion for worship, which she carried into the churches she and her husband Ed planted. Emily teaches choir and art at Wes-Del Middle/High School, where she also leads the FCA Huddle and helps with the music for school plays. You might also catch her singing the National Anthem at sports events. When she’s not working or at church, Emily loves spending time with her husband and three kids, cheering them on at their games or performances. She enjoys relaxing with long walks, podcasts, and a good book.
