Rev. Tom Parsons graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University and has been in full-time ministry for 23 years. He has led Hartford City Wesleyan since 2001, having now lived in Blackford County longer than anywhere else his entire life! Pastor Tom is married to Kara, who is a R.N. at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. Together, they have five children: Bryce (freshman at Indiana Wesleyan University), Thomas (11th grade), Becca (10th grade), Bailey (8th grade) and Allie (7th grade). Outside of church, family life often revolves around activities like soccer, swimming, JROTC and pizza/movie night.
Having served six years in the US Army, he jumped out of planes and helicopters over 100 times, earning jump wings in the United States (ask him about getting “blood wings”), Honduras and Germany.
Watching all shows pertaining to Bigfoot, in hopes such a creature truly exists, and eating a multitude of mini-donuts on Saturday mornings.
Not becoming a Christian until his mid-20’s, Pastor Tom is extremely passionate about seeing people of all ages and backgrounds choose to follow Jesus, aiding them in the maturing process (discipleship).
