Vicki Sandoe was born and raised in Hartford City. She moved away a couple of times for short periods but always made her way back “home.” She is married to Jim and they have two sons: Chad, an airline pilot who lives in Indianapolis, and Jay (wife Lisa) who lives next to them, and delivers propane for AgBest. Vicki has one grandson, JJ (Johnathon Jaymes) who attends Blackford High School.
Vicki attended Ivy Tech, majoring in Business Administration and has been the church Administrative Assistant since 2008. She states, “I believe I am blessed with the best office with the best view in all of Blackford County!”
Vicki and Jim live in an old school that Jim and his brother attended as children. Jim’s grandparents were custodians and his grandfather was also the school bus driver for the school.
In her spare time, Vicki loves to knit, crochet, and make quilts. Mainly, however, she loves to tease people and play practical (but harmless) jokes on them. One of her greatest joys in life is laughter. Nothing makes her happier than to laugh and hear other people laugh too.
To be able to see other people experience the same change that only accepting and following Jesus Christ can make in their lives that she has experienced in her life. And to let them know what peace and joy can come from accepting Jesus into their hearts as their Savior.
